At Carrefour the other day, I saw them selling a LG Blu-Ray player for about 17K. It was a bit of a surprise as I never did find any place selling the Blu-ray discs (the real stuff, not the "real copies").

Where can one find such discs here in Chiang Mai? Are they obscenely expensively still? Wonder if we can order from Amazon otherwise.

You will get hit with a HUGE bill from customs if you try to import them. However, books under $150. US are free.

Neo Entertainment at Airport Plaza has Blu Ray discs. They also have a player in the 25k range. The discs are priced in the 700-1000 baht range and number around 200 but drop in and check as I was shopping for other items. Neo is on the top floor of Airport Plaza next to that fitness centre that opened a year or two ago. Or find the round fish tank and just go up from there and you'll find it.

Do you have a list of what is permitted by post? Is there a website that has that list? I'm looking to order some other household things as well.
