Ais 1-2 Call Setting Up My Phone To Send/rcv Emails

Featured Replies

Can someone please help ...

I have a Samsung J700 mobile phone with GPRS (AIS 1-2 call enabled. I want to send and receive emails from my POP3 account.

I have entered all my info correctly, that is, user id, pop3 and smtp server settings, password etc. My phone sends emails okay, but I get the message, "invalid user name or password" when I try to receive emails.

Has anyone god a solution... many thanks in advance

Well the fact that you can send emails okay means that the GPRS is okay so we can tick that one off.. i think you will find that its either you are spelling it wrong or you dont have pop mail enabled on your mailbox..are you using Yahoo as some of those you need to pay if you want pop email

As above, if you are getting a message saying user name and password invalid you are getting through to the server. If its Yahoo then they charge for mobile email. Try either G mail or hot mail. :o

I use Yahoo. I have never tried to send an email on my mobile but have often received them on it (using AIS 1-2-Call) problem-free and charge-free.

I have Gmail and Hotmail on my Nokia. I didn't set up the phone for either of them. I put in the standard addresses, and saved them to bookmarks. Each has an option to save user name and password. I DON'T want my phone to check automatically for mail so this method works great for me. Two clicks and they connect.
