Tgf Applied For The Visa....

Featured Replies

Hi,

My TGF applied for her first tourist visa last Wednesday. Anyway, she decided she needed to go and visit her (ok to be fair, her dying) mother in China and told this to the person recieving the application, as well as the information that she had a flight booked for the 27th.

Anyway, she called the embassy today and they said come in tommorrow with your passport. She is confident she will get the visa tommorrow. I am not. What are your thoughts??? What are the chances they processed the application without the passport (only a copy present). Conversley. What are the chances they have done npthing and she misses her flight here?

My lesson in all this: NEVER underestimate the stupidity of a clever and educated Thai girl!!

Yeah thats pretty much what I told her. But would they have even looked at it or just put it to one side? I expected about 5 days to process, can she expect this from tommorrow (maybe a bit extra for th time of year)??

Which country is she applying for?

If the UK then they should not have accepted the application without her passport. I suspect that her call to visit tomorrow with her passport is so they can take it from her and then return it later after the application has been processed.
