cclub75
To be honest the airport closer had to affect the figures, by how much we will have to wait and see. Neil... There is no need to give credit to the stupid excuses given by the thai authorities. Think global. In october, the growth y-o-y was already very low (5,2 %) compared to the previous months. In november, exports from Japan plunged by... 26 %. Exports from China decreased by 2,2 %. etc. Why on earth Thailand would be different ? And now ask yourself : what will happen in december ? And in january ? And the following months ? Are Japan, USA, Europe, ASEAN, China (the main customers for thai exports) going to buy suddendly more stuff from Thailand, in an explosion of pink optimism and irrational exuberance ? Of course not. On the contrary. Less. So for that matter, the airport closure is nothing but a statistical fart in the grand scheme of things.
