I was in Big C this morning and noted that they have reduced their frozen, holiday season Butterball turkeys to less than a third of the original price. The cheapest I saw was about 1200B marked down from around 4,500B

I was tempted to buy one and invite my friends over but:

i) I'm on a diet.

ii) It probably wouldn't fit in my oven.

iii) I don't have any friends. :o

1,200 sounds to be a normal price for this Butterball. I bought mine at 1,450 b for a 6.5 Kgs turkey

Maybe sceadugenga didn't read the fine print ..

.. and the Bt 4,500 included the turkey already stuffed, not basted with butter, roasted in a large oven, and delivered .. along with a few "friends". :o

I wouldn't mind it delivered by a couple of the young lady shop assistants there as long as the Mrs was out.

And then what you will do with a COUPLE of shop asistants,I think more talk then action.

I can see that it's going to take me a while to live this down.

Next time I see a bargain in Big C I'll keep it to myself or just send my friends a private message, friends like..... HANG ON! I HAVE GOT FRIENDS IT'S JUST THAT I CAN'T THINK OF ANY RIGHT NOW!

Seriously though, Chiang Rai isn't the best city in Thailand for shopping for a taste of home and I think that a heads up if anything new or out of the ordinary appears in Big C or Top etc, is a good idea.
