How Many Days To Extend Non Imm - O Before The Visa Expire

Featured Replies

My husband's Non Imm-O visa will be expired on 4-May-09. When should we go to extend the visa, 30 days, 14 days, 7 days before?

We read about the regulation for all documents needed but there's no info about how many days we have to extend it before expire date.

Thanks a lot.

Within the last thirty days.

But I would suggest no later than 2 weeks before the extension ends for a first time application.

Thank you ubonjoe :o

Yes. Within the last 30 days. The earlier the better in case of any problems.

You cannot extend a Visa. You extend the permision to stay.

what happened to 'within the last 30 days of the last 90 day permission to stay'? This would mean within the last 30 days of the date on the last 90 day permission to stay stamp given to the holder of a non-imm. 'O' visa on their last arrival(?)...regardless of whether or not the visa was about to expire...

Correct. Once you have used a visa to enter Thailand and if it was a single-entry visa, that visa and any date stamped on it become absolutely, totally and completely irrelevant. See also this information published by the immigration bureau:
