Can anyone offer advice or information on advance bookings and payments for overnight travel on thai railways, Is there a travel agent in Bkk who operates an advance booking service, we are bringing relatives from UK to thailand in september and october and they want to do all their inland travelling by train, and if possible we would like to book places as soon as possible if we can, thanks in advance,

We recently did that for our Xmas holiday trip, but we did it at a railway station booking office. I am not sure if there are any restrictions on how FAR in advance you can book - we only booked the week before. Have you had a look at the Thai rail web site? Might get a lead there - maybe even a list of authorised booking agents
