I guess there are doctors out there, yeah. But I've yet to meet that doctor who, without trying to prescribe me something, directly goes to exercise or diet as a solution. That doesn't makse them money. Unless I have a deep wound, they've lost all my trust.
Normal for absolutely every human. Usually it will come out naturally. If it's a problem go to a clinic and get it irrigated. You can also try putting a few drops of cooking oil in your ear and keep it in with a bit of cotton wool. This will soften the wax up and help it come out. Remember the old saying. "Never stick anything smaller than your elbow in your ear".
Many years ago an old Scottish friend nearly died of bacterial meningitis, having first showed symptoms about a week after arriving in Thailand. I suspected that he might have caught it on the aeroplane on the journey from Scotland. He nearly died but Bumrungrad saved him. (Travel insurance paid).
Thailand has a large 'transient-population'.
