International Student Visa Issue

Featured Replies

If I just cross into Cambodia at Aranyapathet on foot (with a Cambodian visa), can I just cross back into Thailand, without any visa? They will give me an arrival stamp that is good for 15 days.

Then, with that stamp, can I go to the Immigration office and get an extension? I only need to find a way to be in Thailand legally for 60 days until I can get a non-immigrant visa through my university.

Do I understand this correctly? If not, what is the easiest way to remain here for 60 days. My first Non-imm visa is expiring and will not be able to apply for a new one until the start of April.

Thanks for any help!

The easiest for you to stay in Thailand for 60 days is to go to a Thai consulate in a neighbouring and get a single-entry tourist visa.

This can then be extended for a further 30 days at Immigration if needed.

Why not?
