My PC wont boot up it comes up with 'windows/system/32/config/system cannot start file is missing or corrupt. I've looked at the Dell sight where I bought the PC from it suggests using the boot up disc but the XP came pre installed no disc!!!!!

Normally there will be an hidden partition where all the system files are located. Mainly there is an special key combi while booting to access that partition for to recover.

Check you documentation about the Key combi!

Cheers.

Almost impossible without the installation disk.

Try to get an XP installation disk at one of Bankoks well known IT shopping centers Pantip or Fortune

boot to recovery console

ren system system.old

copy windows\system32\repair\system

exit

reboot remove xp cd
