:o Good point
How on earth do Russia and Canada cope.

Geared up for it, I presume. Snow doesn't happen all that much in the UK so the infrastructure isn't prepared. I don't think you can even use snow chains on the roads in the UK.

I flew back into the UK on friday, i can't get back out, quick enough!!

Perhaps we ought to send aid-parcels, with all our no-longer-needed winter-woolies & thermal-underwear, sort of like food-parcels in the old days ? :o

Say snow in Thai language 5 times fast :o

Have had that same feeling many times !

Makes a change from leaves on the railway tracks and stopping all rail services. :o

If it's to sunny - problems.

If it's to wet - problems.

If it's to windy - problems.

If it's snowing - problems.

England a first world country. Someones having a laugh aren't they? A change in weather (which was forecast, so was no major surprise), and the country comes to a standstill. What a joke for the country that started the industrial revolution and accomplished so many other great achievements in days gone by.

Yeah, then the UN stopped us from having our empire.

Now a piece of toilet paper is worth more than our money !

You call that snow ? That's an overnight dusting in Canada . LOL

Biggest snowfall in many years.

England a first world country.

Maybe 10 years ago. :o

We should change the subject to "BITCH ABOUT ENGLAND"

I just got an email from a friend in Sunny Blackpool. Blackpool normaly misses the snow but apparently its just started there now.

What is the difference between Snowmen & Snow - woman............................................. Snowballs. :o:D:D

Because those of us in sunny, warm Thailand are laughing our heads off?

You don't have to signal a social conscience by looking like a frump. Lace knickers won't hasten the holocaust, you can ban the bomb in a feather boa just as well as without, and a mild interest in the length of hemlines doesn't necessarily disqualify you from reading Das Kapital and agreeing with every word. ~Elizabeth Bibesco

Oh, OK, thanks!

Duh, well no matter what great things it has achieved, one of them doesn't include stopping heavy snowfall, afaik, so what's your point like.

The Canadians can cope because half of them live underground :o

Duh, I was stating the point that the country is ill prepared and not as capable as other countries to handle a little bit of snow.
