Harry Buses go from Mor Chit (Northern Bus Terminal) near Chatujak Weekend market. The skytrain stops nearby. www.transport.co.th is only in Thai? - but you can call 02 537 8055 and they speak English!
johnsurin
As Bergen says, you can take the bus from Mo Chit or the train from Hua Lampong to Surin. On arrival there you can get a bus from Surin to Sangkha. John.....

johnsurin
Thank you very much for your reply but there must be a direct bus to sangkha to, can you find the timetable ? I doubt it, Sangkha is a very small town in the middle of nowhere. I suppose you know that if you want to go there. You can get a bus from Prasat to Sangkha if that helps, but no direct link. Personally I prefer the train, but that's just me. John.....

How long is the trip ? We decided to go to surin an then take the bus to sangkha.
johnsurin
You can get air-con buses, air-con train or air-con over night sleeper train. Check out state railways of Thailand. As I say, personally I prefer the train to the bus, but that is just me. Many people use the bus. John.
asanee
You can get air-con buses, air-con train or air-con over night sleeper train. Check out state railways of Thailand. Many people use the bus. John. There are no more non-air buses for long-distance. About any farang wanting to go to such faraway places knows someone there or knows the ropes-it is hihgly unlkely that someone just turns up there completely unannounced. and what is so wrong which a change? helpful Tai will always point the way-just a matter of asking. same at mochit-go to info fist-they may know of some obscure link-never hurts. In general buses are faster, far more frequent and often easier to book (just come and pay that ticket) as trains-and they also tend to bring many people closer to their final destination. I thought all the buses were air-con but put didn't mention it as I wasn't 100% sure, as I don't use the bus, I have done once and that was enough. The train and bus (length of journey) times are about same. Also, in general, you see a lot more buses in ditches or klongs than trains. Hence my decision to use the train or fly (when available).
