Does anyone know where I can get Bacon that is NOT cut wafer thin?

I think I have tried just about every brand going but I still live in hopes.

I like the taste of the Belucky streaky but its Oh so thin,,,cook it too long and it shrivels away to nothing.

Have tried Yorkies, streaky, middle cut and gammon....too thin and tastless.

So I just cant have a cheese and bacon sarnie.....life is sad.

If you go to a foodland or villa, you should be able to find various types of bacon in the deli section un-cut and cut.

As with many things, when you cannot find something you want you end up having to make it yourself. Thick bacon, no worries.... Just how thick did you want me to slice it?

PM for more details

To answer both questions:

The bacon is produced from the loin.

Yes we have made smoked ham, tasted great. Will be constructing the new smoker soon.

And to whet the appetite further for those of your planning a BBQ, and because I just like making stuff, how about this:

Now, how do you call?

Yesterday I bought a slab of smoked bacon, unsliced, at Paragon's supermarket.

Brand was TGM, and this morning it tasted genuinely smoked. It's NOT together with the other TGM pre-packed products in vacuum sealed plastic bags... they had some sort of special stall inside the supermarket, with uncut/unsliced ham/bacon/bacon roll/etc. (sorta like to give the impression that it's their premium line) by TGM with a lady manning the small "slicing station" ...with an electric griller to grill samples to let customers taste the stuff for free.

350 baht per kilogram.

Couple of weeks ago I've bought the same: Great quality!
