I have been running my dreambox500 on a smart card and the smart card is not so smart as of 2 weeks ago. Vendor hasn't found the 'code' yet and has us waiting. He may or may not be able to crack it.

I had heard about a way to connect your dreambox via ethernet cable to an ADSL hub and the dreambox will be constantly updated.

I've been using dreambox like this for 3 years now.. If you have a good stable internet connection it works fine.. If your internet is on and off all day don't bother..

Check out Jsat in BKK for info.. currently think it costs 2500 a year for the service.
