sniffdog Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I will be doing my 90 days reporting next month. Will they ask for proof of address? The problem is that none of my bills are on my name (former girlfriends) and the room bill doesn't have an address. Should I have a copy of the lease to proof my address?
Lite Beer Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I have never had to provide proof of address.
ubonjoe Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 The only place that I recall asking for proof of address is Pattaya. Your lease would be enough proof if needeed.
webfact Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Same same... never was asked for proof of address when reporting 90days.
alyx Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I guess you don't have to get any proof as you are supposed to have been declared by your landlord Of course, just in case, bring your contract alone. I've never been asked to produce any kind of proof (but if you were to do something , I would suggest you to ask your consulate to modify your address in your passport if you are here for a while)
Lickey Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I take every thing related to home and abroad, and of course most importantly the Mrs, i got my yellow book last year, 1st 1 in Namsom province, and we never have a problem at Nong Khia Immigration, Proof of address is quite normal at a 1 year renewal i would think, rather than 90 day reporting,

I don't know about other passports but mine (Dutch) doesn't have an address. I was planning to report in Pattaya (my extension was issued there) but maybe I change and do it in Bangkok. Thank all for your contribution. PS My reporting date is March 10. Am I correct to say that I can report as early as March 3 or 4?

You can even do a mail in report if you want. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=90days The postage is now 10 baht and you only need copies of your passport photo page and entry/permit to stay stamps not the entire passport as it says. You can report 7 days early or 7 days late and not pay the fine.
sniffdog Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 Thank,s UJ. I am living in Bangkok, but as I said my extension was issued in Pattaya. As I can't report by mail to the immigration in Bangkok (as I learnt from another thread), would Pattaya accept my report by mail?
ubonjoe Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 You can report by mail from anywhere to Bangkok. It is meant for anybody that does not live near an immigration office. A lot of people that live in Bangkok report by mail without a problem. I don't know if Pattaya accepts mail in reports. If you are in Bangkok you can report in Bangkok.

Well I guess that has changed now as from Februrary the 15th one has to deal with the service of one's district
