Featured Replies

Are there any threads on Thaivisa or info in The Nation Newspaper about this guy? Its just that Asian Human Rights Commision has an appeal for info on this guy.

http://www.ahrchk.net/ua/mainfile.php/2006/2124/ is the link for more info. Its just that he and others have now been found responsible by Thai courts of the deaths of Muslim Insurgents, and still the New Goverment has yet to act on this info.He is also mentioned on todays BBCNEWS24 website on refugee situation.

if you can view the above, it looks as though he is hand in hand with Abhisit and PAD/elite "Manas,a few people may recall ,was among three army officers that a court in 2006 found responsible for the deaths of 28 young men at the Krue Se Mosque two years earlier.By law he ought to have criminal charges pending against him,but instead he is at the forefront of the new goverment's response to an international crisis".

I have read a report by Nation that charges relating to the 2006 Krue Se Mosque killings where Col Manas Kongpan and 2 others were accused have now been"dropped" (Feb 10 2009)......the report by Nation does not give any reason as to why there is not going to be any prosecution ,,,...does anyone here on Thaivisa.com know the reason behind this?

WHY ISN'T ANYONE TALKING TO ME???? :D

You seem to be doing fine on your own :D

This sort of thing seems to go on here........... what can we say or do ? ....... Not Farangs Business :o

I wouldn't recommend you going after him on your own :D

....... unless ofcourse your a fine upstanding Thai Citizen

There's tons about him in the Thai press in the Thai language. Little makes it to the English language media.

Unfortuneately I can not read Thai, although I speak a little Thai,...the problem I find when reading The Nation and other English language "Thai" newspapers is that there is a completely different emphasis compared to international media reports. The same news conference about the Rohyinga boat people turned into the International media highlighting Manas Kongpans past history but only a short paragraph in Thai media reports regarding this subject i.e his history.Instead the Thai media seemed to be a mouthpiece for him, saying "Manas blamed the British for this problem" colonialisation ect,..and that "there are people in the International media out to get him" he is almost painted as a good tough guy.If I weren't able to read English I might believe it!

Any comment SJ? on the above.

dee123, this seems to be a conversation with yourself. Given the strict defamation laws in Thailand and your seeming relentless posts in this thread, I am closing it.
