I have a garmin sat nav system in my car for Thailand, ive had it about a year now and i would like to update the map how is it done ? where ? and what is the cost, I live in Pattaya

Can you not take it back to where it was purchased from??

If not try Pattaya IT mall or Pantip Plaza, BKK.

Maybe one of the other GPS groupies experts may have other suggestions.

My garmin handheld csx60 has a usb port to transfer maps and update, not sure about yours. You can go to garmins website and get firmware/software updates, but I doubt if there is a thailand map update, maps dont change enough in most places to justify the expense.

What Garmin do you have. check the handbook to find out how to check which map you have it should be 8.1
