My friend has a work permit and visa extension until July 2009. She will be finished her job Beginning of March. The work permit office will be notified that her work permit is canceled as her employer can only have one employee at a time. So in order to get the new employee the work permit, she will have to leave according to the MoL. My questions are.

-who has to tell immigration that she is finished work? Does her employer or does she?

-If her employer does not tell immigration could just just stay until her last 90 day reporting is due in May?

-Does she keep her work permit or does her employer have to submit it to the MoL?

-Does the MoL actually speak to MoI and let them know her work permit has been canceled?

1. The employer.

2. She would be on overstay.

3. She can keep her work permit book.

4. The labour department informs the immigration office.
