I am Canadian, age 62. My non-immigrant type B visa is expiring in 2 days (March 1) which is Sunday. Immi offices are closed Sunday.

I am here on my own, not sponsored by a company, Thai or otherwise. I searched this site and found that an extension can be granted for up to 1 year, but the paperwork requires things I cannot provide. There is no company sponsoring me.

Is it possible to get an extension, say 30 days, at Suan Plu without company paperwork?

Is the best option to leave the country and come back as a tourist?

I am not working per se here but I do spend a lot of time on the Internet and do make money that way. It is not taxed here nor in Canada.

At best they will give you an extension of 7 days if you can show a ticket out of the country within those 7 days. I think your best option is to leave the country and apply for a tourist visa in a neighbouring country.

Is your visa a single or multiple entry? If a multiple entry you could do one more border run tomorrow and get another 90 days. Also do you mean your visa is expiring or is it your permit to stay stamp that is running out?

Can you meet the requiements for a retirement extension?

If you can get a letter from your embassy to show 65,000 baht per month income that would do it. Canada does it by way of an affidavit. You should contact them to see what would be required.

Or have 800K in the bank for 2 months. Or a combination of income and money in the bank that totals to 800K.
