March 7, 200917 yr I agreed to buy a friend's Honda Dream for a few thousand baht when she leaves town. It has plates and a green book, but she never got around to registering it in her name or taking care of the tax/insurance when she bought it. She has the book and an invoice from the dealer that she bought it from. What do I need to do to get the bike in my name? Thanks a million! canincm

Does it make any difference? Will I need a copy of her passport? Work Permit? Or just something from the shop?
March 10, 200917 yr You need transfer papers and ID card from the owner thats listed in the book.. Without their assistance you cannot legally get it changed. Currently its their bike not hers. You can sometimes have it fudged over for a small payment but thats hardly relevant on a few 1000 baht value dream.
