Best Bank For Savings/lump Sum?

Recommended Posts

any suggestions on which bank has the best interest rate for savings? 6 month or 1 year is ok.

Noticed interest rates have plummeted over the last few months sad.gif....but anyways, would appreciate any input on potential banks to put in a lum sum savings amount. Only recently arrived so not too up to speed on banking here.

Thanks in advance.

And then check out the loan rates on the same page.

So they pay depositors less than 2% but all the debtors have to pay 6% plus. It makes me wonder why the BoT reduces the interest rates, as obviously the banks are still creaming in a lot from their loans. And with such a high spread it is hardly going to help the economy. But it does give me confidence that my money is safer with the Thai banks than any of the flaky western banks.
