Pimsleur Thai - English

Featured Replies

I have the Pimsleur English - Thai which is very good but is there a reverse one for someone looking to learn English who is Thai or something similar in Mp3 available for download on torrents or on the forum?

Thank you.

There is a Pimsleur English for Thai speakers, but it's not due for release until December apparently. If it's anything like the Thai for English speakers, I suspect it will be extremely basic (but it's still a great method - they should have made three levels like most Pimsleur courses, instead of just one).

Thanks for that info do you know of anything else suitable that is available now?

I'm sure there's plenty out of materials out there, but nothing really like Pimsleur. You might want to try the Linguaphone English Complete Course. I'm a big fan of Linguaphone. Their Thai Complete Course is excellent. Bear in mind however, the instructions will be in English, not Thai, but it's aimed at beginners from scratch, so as long as the person in question knows a few basic terms they should be okay. I've never seen any Linguaphone Complete Course on a BT tracker (presumably because of the amount of time it would take to scan all the textbooks), so if you want it, you're probably going to have to cough up for at least a second hand copy. I'd imagine you could find one on ebay.

Any more news about this Pimsleur English for Thai speakers? Really interested in finding out if it came out! Where did you hear about it?

Can't remember where I heard about it originally. Amazon have it for pre-order here, but there's no indication of a reliable release date. It just says Publisher: Pimsleur Intl Inc (December 2009). Your best bet is probably to email Pimsleur and ask them.

I did email them and they said it was an error listing on Amazon.ca. No plans to release English for Thai in the works. :)

After a move overseas, a CPU crash and a windows reinstall I have lost Pimsleur Thai lessons 20, 21 and 22. Can anyone help me get copies? Thanks in advance.

in google i can see torrent downloads, download sites i have to register for, and pay sites (but I don't want to pay for the full set again).

Which is the simplest way to download the 3 missing lessons? Can you be more specific? thanks again

^ The first link in the search results. No registration is required. :)

My apologies for not being more forthcoming, but Pimsleur is a paid product...

I can give you some pointers (without breaking forum rules), but what you do from there is up to you.
