Any concerns on traveling back to EU/Germany on a aufenhalferlaubnes-EU (unbefristet) /settlement/residence permit for a Thai national?

I guess for a simple schengen visit (up to 90days) all should be clear, but how about 'permanent' stay in Germany.

Would that perhaps require e.g. a 're-entry permit' for visa as some countries do (e.g. Denmark)?

Once gotten such a permit should be valid 'forever' regardless of current residence I presume :o

Any good or bad travel experiences appreciated or clarifications on german reentry should that become needed...
