I have never seen a police woman at any of Pattaya's street corners, giving out tickets or helping the elderly across the street; haven't seen them on Sukhumvit Rd. with a chopper nearby, issuing tickets for right lane drivers or drivers not wearing helmets or not having a Thai driver's license. The Police ranks all over Thailand (but mainly in the bigger cities) have many female police officers, but they are usually not 'frontline' more administrative, PR etc, but most police stations always have female officers on duty for delicate tasks ( ie: dealing with women that must be searched etc). Also the Thai Tourist Police have over 40 female officers all over Thailand with many doing street or car duty.
