Having my pc repaired a few times :o I seem to have lost some thing.I just can't keep open 2 websitesat the same time. If I minimise one site and try to open a new one the old one just dissapears. So what do I have to install again? I am running IE7 with service pack 2. Any clues?

Please excuse my question. How do you actually open the second url (window)?

With Firefox you can open a web site either in the same window or in a new tab.

As far as I remember (I don't use IE except for some banking sites) you can do the same in IE7. So if you type a new url

and have not set to open in a new tab it will open in your minimized window - Only a thought. Recommendation: use Chrome or FF

With IE7 you should have tabs, but you must open a new tab first before entering the url. If you don't have the tabs do as suggested and reinstall IE7.

Failing all that click on the IE icon to open another page.

Don't you just hate it when you ask for a solution to a particular problem and all the "geeks" jump up and tell you what you have is crap and you should be using X. I'm sure anyone who has been following this forum for any length of time will know the options and alternatives available and being told to use X is no help whatsoever.

Have a nice day :o

Suggest you take a look under TOOLS / INTERNET OPTIONS and under the GENERAL tab look in SETTINGS and make sure that the 'Enable Tabbed Browsing' box is ticked.
