dazzab
On the phone to the Mrs. a few days ago and found out the moo baan (Koolpuntville) was raided by thieves We were lucky (this time) but at least three houses were pilferred. Turns out they turn up in car at security, they are well dressed, hand over some fake ID cards to security saying they are interested in buying a house in the village. They then check out the houses and if your unlucky enough to be away from home at that tim its' bye bye jewellrey, computer, Plasma TV............. Glad we have a big dog that barks at strangers, It might not stop them but hopefully make them think its not worth it..

A friend (one of the realm's finest) has warned me about being out and about at night displaying too much opulence (gold neck chain etc) as there are many indigenous folk who are finding their financial survival a bit of a struggle. Ulysses G.
Be careful. Almost every Thai holiday for the last few years, there have been a bunch of break-ins of businesses in the Thapae Gate area. They usually break a hole in the roof.
Maejo Man
The city is just on capacity for the Songkhran week, and many out of town revellers find that they run a "little short on funds" so crimes of opportunity are rife

I will be sure in that case to PM you if I see a gang of Thais loading up their honda waves with second hand books and magazines in your area in the middle of the night
Ulysses G.
They are mostly interested in money. They have visited us before and did not even take the brand new (at the time) computer. The same thing happened to Boots and several other businesses.

Ulysses G.
Maybe it is too difficult to get the computer out through the roof when the front is all locked up?
