Thai Airways New Service

Featured Replies

Those of you living in Thailand may not be as thrill as I am but a direct flight from NYC to BKK is the best news I have received so far this year, this service start on May 1, 2005.

Hopefully is not too expensive, no more sitting in some other country's airport for two three hours waiting for a connecting flight when all I want is get to Thailand. I don't mind the lengh of time since last December I took what I believe to be the longest commercial flight ever NYC to Singapore that was 18 hours straight.

Yeah they were advertising this new flight when I was on Thai Air earlier this month.

Haven't looked at the cost year, but what I do like is that both flights are "in the same direction." That is the BKK-JFK leg goes over Alaska and Canada and the JFK-BKK leg goes over Russia and China. Makes sense from a tailwind/fuel efficiency/time to complete standpoint.

I'll definitely be looking into it when the time comes.

Hey;

What was the cost of that Singapore-NY flight? I am thinking of that one to get to dc in March.
