When I was teaching in Korea, all of the teachers at my school would order our bras from Victorias Secret, and our jeans from American Eagle... it was impossibe to find decent western-sized clothes there! We couldn't order more than 150 USD, otherwise we had to pay extra import fees.

1. Does anyone here order clothes online? Which companies are more likely to get my stuff here properly?

2. Is there a magic $number for how much you can spend?

Thanks!

I have a friend that ordered a swimming suit from Lands End in the U.S. She ended up paying either the same or more than the suit cost in import duties. If the package is not too big

and sent regular airmail you probably have a better chance. Any of the couriers and you will definitely have a couriers fee even if you get by without any import duties.

Second the above. Key is to have it shipped to someone back home whop then repackages and ships to you -- using normal air mail.

Sometimes there will be a duty assigned, sometimes not.
