Went back yesterday to look at a bike we had seen in there and it looked for all intents and purposes like they have gone out of business, some official people who looked like they were doing an inventory were there, when i asked the lady where the boss was she replied in the uk ,and not sure when he will be back,..anybody know if its closing down ?

Do you really want to spend your money here, they might just sell you a worthless bill of goods, i.e., a useless warranty on the bike. :o

i wouldnt hand over 4 or 5 million baht unless i had serious paper work to prove it ..and solicitors too.that would be alot of money to be taken from you ...i feel sorry for these guys cheated by this prick in this way......

Gaza is not a neophyte businessman. He will have had good paperwork and advice. What happened to him was criminal fraud I suspect he is going through the motions to ensure Scott does not appear in LOS legally again, or if he does he spends some time in a Thai holiday and weight loss camp. From discussions I have had with Gazza he will go the legal route first, and consider other options at a time that suits him.

"He will have had good paperwork and advice"

Good advice - yeah right. Advice to invest 4 million with Scott Horvarth :o

And going through the courts in cases like these is a waste of time IMO.

There is some good insurance available against people owing you money and not paying.

I have known Scott for a good 6 years + now but only on a friendly basis and he was a nice Bloke, didn't have any business dealings with him apart from buying a couple of bikes off him and helping him pick up/ drop bikes off etc during the day etc, Have heard alot of stories etc etc etc, Funny as I was drinking with him about a month or so ago and chatting to his missus just the other week and now he's done one!

Anyone know what happened with his UK partner Sweeney?

:o

Yes Dave, I know , actually I was drinking with Sweeney tonight, and he had just arrived back from UK for 3 weeks. Bit of an aside, sweeney is very good friends with my favourite lady here, she has been like a sister to me, maybe you dont know her dave, but you know her daughter, as she worked at Blues factory for a while and married your manager there.

Anyway Sweeney did invest a lot there, but managed to get 3 big beemers and a Suzi 1400 out before it all went down. According to Sweeney, Scott was in way over his head, and was paying off bills as money came in for selling bikes, so a lot of pissed of people around. Scott is back in UK, trying to get a job back on the rigs to give him some money, Dont expect him to come back anytime soon as he has nothing to pay off everyone he owns.

Oh and wouldnt worry too much about sweeney he has a very good Thai resaurant in London that pays the bills.

regards

Freddie

I had an experience with Scott

He was doing the Book for my Bike which was to be Fully Authentic (not forgery or false - more expensive)

Half way through the process I found out from a 3rd party he was getting me a forgery and also the price he was charging me even for the authentic document was double what it should have been.

I quietly let him know that I new what an authentic document looked like and also the proper price.

Got there in the end but he did try it on big style

Always had a chat with him now and again, no real issues once you know what you're dealing with

hi Dave in town for a holl for 3 weeks before getting back to the grind in London.

well i am not surprised at all the the shop went down.!!!!

while i was there i got the work shop to make a profit and looked good but the cash was going out faster than coming in. and the old debts from bike sales long sold was to much to keep up with. could have been a good shop if the debts were not there.

i was ripped off yes but i invested in this my own fault.I did not get the promised 50% or any cut off the shop profits. yes i did try to keep it honest- and true hard work to do under the circumstances

losses! well 500000 1600 Yamaha sold but money went out the door somewhere. a stead 120000bt a Kawasaki 50cc dirt bike sold 80000bt same story. a red TNT Beneli 130 600000bt gone .anyone know where.

and if i had not got my other bikes out they would have gone to i got my 3 BMW's out and a 1400 Suzy all with plates and books but losses were big 2000000bt for a non existent partnership plus 1300000 in bikes bikes are now for sale .all legal books and plates nice bikes BMW x 3 1400 Suzy

but it could have been worse mike kicked in 6 mill plus he can afford it maybe but it is still wrong Scott was a dishonest man it will come back on him 10 fold and it wont be long before some one finds him .

me i don't give a shit, money is hard to get easy to lose i will get more and try again. the blues!!!!.

the good it helped me to get over the death of my first born two years ago in mikes shopping mall more important than money found i had diabetes and got it in control-+ new baby on the way this summer still got 4 big bikes looking forward not back still got the pattaya franchise for the cell therapy to get started. don't have the money at the moment 4 mill due to Scott! but that will come.in time .

the lake has lots of water and fish . still nice to sit and look at the water .

restaurant in London still doing well turning over a mill per year so i am happy.

so how are you and yours doing. well i hope love the place.

i have not seen eve yet this trip but this week i hope and her baby .

any way i have good health and some wealth left wish you and yours a good life and trouble free time in pattaya. i am back to London soon so next trip i will get out and about a bit more when the wife is not so big.

any way i have one thing to say to all in pattaya the rumors spread by Scott about me he got from the police volunteer Kevin who owes me are completely untrue and the shit will come back to them. the facts are not important but the using of them to rip off your investors is stupid childish and downright nasty an and so if it was you Kevin that cost me the 4 mill loss at the bike shop then he had better find the money to pay back your debt to me.+ quickly

Hi Sweeney, sorry to hear that <deleted> had you also.

His where abouts in Hull would be useful as I only have some of his relatives addresses and I don't really want to bother them unnecessarily.

He will not get way scott free(excuse the pun) I will track him down and use every possible legal way to make him responsible for his actions.

After December if he does not answer his bail he will be a criminal, a report will go to Interpol and he will find it very difficult to do this again anywhere in the world.

It has taken us 4 years to get this far and the amazing thing is he still carried on selling my shares and putting them back in my name with out my knowledge once he had the money from the other people, this man in my opinion is a serious conman and has to be accountable.

He probably has the money salted away in Switzerland or some other tax haven .Doubt if he has to go looking for off shore work as somebody mentioned .The bad guys nearly always end up on top .It not a fair world .

hi guys well the truth is this i worked with him for 10 months and in that time i had 4mill in bikes in the shop for sale the deal was that he sold the bikes for as much as he could yes not over priced but as much as possible. the books were a bastard to get done Thai law makes it hard for jap imports to get books or plates,

they want money for the books with out the proper papers not a hope all jap bikes come in from bkk in bits the import papers are for bike bits you have to have a frame invoice and an engen invoice the tax is paid on entry the book is on top after it is sold. the tax is per cc 400cc=60000bt up to 90000bt for a big cc this gets picked up by the bkk tax agent and then you have to hope for the Thai government to pass it this can take 3 to 4 months.

but the money gets paid first we can do nothing about this its the way it is done one office one agent and they take there sweet time. the bikes are rebuilt in bkk or chonbury and we got them from the guys who built them. when a bike was sold it was a split up with the paid cost coming back to me, the rest was the book man the repairs and then a split up 50% to me 50% to the shop. the other bikes in the shop was a different story you guys would agree for Scott to sell for the agreed price he put more on top to make a profit normal it was a business after all and the over heads were high. scott had made a big mistake a few years ago with this auto trader mag good idea but very expensive

. and at the same time the thaibay.biz was costing a lot so he had funded the lot buy using the money he got for selling bikes the customer bikes in the old shop next to the bangkok pattaya hospital north pattaya. as we now know he got in far over his head. the money was going out faster than coming in he was stuck with a mag that needed a mill a month thaibay a mill a month but he did not have any money coming in he did not own any thing in the shop. it was all customers stock but the money he got for the bikes was used up on bills he was flat busted broke.

the new shop was the answer he thought it would give him the space he needed to get back up on top the auto trader was scraped or put on hold. thaibay was left to tick over with out much activeness two staff left to run it 30000 a month out on that. ok so it seemed to be sorted but the bikes he had sold before had not been paid for and that was the problem it came and bit him in the ass when he sold a bike he had to pay the owner but he would put it off for as long as he could and pay the older sales off yes rob peter to pay paul.this is ok if you sell 3 or 4 bikes a day but that did not happen sometimes one a week or one a month. i got the shop covered by the workshop repairs and soon the wages rent tax electric where covered it was good for a few months then he started to get involved with ktm trying to get a dealership this cost to much and broke the bank again. this was the final straw it was impossible to get out of the rut without a big banker coming in i had tried i put in 2 mill

=4 mill in bikes and 10 months of my time it looked like there was no way to save this shop from the final sinarieo and then i had the problem of my bikes were not selling fast and money was tight again,.,.,.

i had to go back to the uk and fight a Greek <deleted> who was is trying to fuc_k with my restaurant in london so i had no way of being in two places at the same time and london is were i make my living i had to go and fight there last may still going on today and wont finish till july. this left scott with a lot of my bikes and a lot of debts as well he found a new partner with money and stuffed me . some shit that was but i worked it out it was going to cost me more to try and stay in than get out so out was cheaper.after this i don't know much of what happened the new guy was paying the bills. i got back to see the end of the shop bailiffs and trucks lifting the shop stock and all out of the building and now it is for rent again.so i don't think he has a nest egg of much left he did have a living out of it but the big money he did not get unless he sold thaibay or auto trader. so it was business and the lack of sales that did it cops taking taxman taking customs trying to cease bikes and taking 60000 for a bike with no book some staff on the rob as well fuc_ked a good shop it could have been a good shop. to hard in pattaya to make a good shop work to many nasty informers and takers here to make money and the cost of the books was also a big one. i got out last may cost me a lot but i got out. only lost 4mill to much and not happy with that but that's life. had Scott been honest he could have made it work. he got to involved with some one who helped him make this thaibay and auto trader mag he should have stayed with the bikes.. the final days someone else will have to fill in i don't know what happened at the end but i can guess..

The truth is IMO he never gave a toss about actually running any sort of legitimate business,he was in the business of selling shares that didn't belong to him.

He had sold the shares in Ex.Pat Motorcycles(TA Siam racing) Numerous times with out the knowledge of the share holders (His partners) I bought 50% of the bike shop and to this day am still a share holder but not a Director as he took me out without my knowledge.

I also owned 30% of Auto trader which he also sold my shares without my agreement or knowledge.

All this information is available at companies house Chonburi.

He was still transferring my shares back and forth whilst he was appearing in court with me and other people over the very same thing.

Sweeney I am 100% sure his intention was to have you over from the start,if you had shares then you bought something that belonged to me.

So far we can account for at least 20,000,000 Million baht that he received from various people and thats not including the money he made from the bikes he stole or the profit that was made, the first month I worked in the bike shop we made nearly 1,000,000 baht gross profit which the net profit went into stock and renovations to the shop.

There were many months when we sold in excess of 15-20 bikes with at least 70,000 baht profit on stock that we purchased.

Things came to a head when I opened some post one day and found a statement from the bank where they were taking out 50,000 baht a day via an ATM card I knew nothing about. :o

It was all a con to take partners money via fraud IMO. :D

sounds like a right dodgy dude by the sounds of it ......

Stop the Presses: A dodgy dude in Pattaya!

I have never met so many dodgy dudes anywhere else in the world, doing business in Pattaya is very difficult. I was ripped off by a fat man named Scott there too in a business deal. But I know some good people, Thai and Farangs that run an honest business and work hard there, but you have to be very careful about who you do business with in this country, especially Pattaya.

I hope this guy is caught and pays off the people he owes, good luck...

I was last there about 6 months ago, there was a big (6'5 ish) English guy in his mid 50's telling me he was a new partner, he was bandaged up after falling from a BMW GS he was using.

Just wondering if this was you Sweeney ?

Cheers

Yes you sound like the dogs <deleted> .

id say they are in enough debt without adding more to it by investing in a beer bar ....lol

I think sweeny has found someone's new shop.

It is a double shophouse.

It is on soi Chiapornvitti, the road near the lights at Naklua Rd (or does it have it's own lights at the moment) that runs from Sukumvit past black pearl2 to the lake.

Lam works there and his Mrs Tum runs it.

I think when the beer wears off we may get a more coherent version of this.
