Car Insurance

Featured Replies

Help guys I am just buying a new car while not in Thailand and the dealer assures me anyone can drive the car on the insurance provided.

I expected to have to name drivers , any advice so welcome

Cheers

Rob

Your dealer was correct. In Thailand the car is insured not the driver.

And, when you buy a second hand car that's already insured first class, you can just transfer the insurance to your own name. Easy!

If you want to check any further questions, can I suggest that you call Aviva, they have plenty of staff who are good listeners, will quickly understand the thrust of your question, and give you clear answers.

If needed, for second hand cars, they can organize the annual vehicle inspection for you, at very reasonable rate.
