theoldgit
The British Embassy have updated their website to include the following advice, don't think they are, or need to, actually notify people "In view of the deteriorating security situation anyone considering going to Bangkok should urgently review their plans. British residents in, and visitors to, Bangkok are advised to avoid any areas where demonstrations are taking place and to stay indoors as far as possible." Tywais
US Embassy Warden Message. This message alerts U.S. citizens traveling to or residing in Bangkok that Prime Minister Abhisit has declared a state of emergency in Bangkok and surrounding areas following demonstrations by protestors from the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (aka UDD or “red-shirts’). This declaration follows demonstrations of anti-government redshirts in Bangkok protesting the arrest of one of their leaders. The state of emergency empowers the government to restrict gatherings of more than five persons and to prohibit and/or block communications. Media reports gunfire at the Ministry of Interior and demonstrations at Government House, Parliament, and the Central World/Siam Paragon Shopping Malls. mmushr00m
Nothing from the Canadian Embassy... ....but the current embassy staff just did time in Afghanistan, so unless shooting starts they feel there is no danger or need for panic. I should also say that I heard nothing from the Cdn embassy during the airport closures or the previous SOE.

eldar1
The dutch embassy staff is doing what it does best, telling it's citizen to stop calling and leave them alone. If it comes to real problems here and all the other embassies are evacuating their compatriots, all the dutch embassy will do is tell it's citizens "not our problem, find your own way home"
