I know it's never a good idea to blow your own horn on thaivisa, but my images and personal account of Songkran in Bangkok 09 that I submitted to the ongoing Thai Visa Songkran Photo competition have just been published on the front page of demotix.com

I'd never heard of the site before they contacted me yesterday, but it seems to be straight up 'as it is news' site.

Of course thavisa.com got a couple of plugs.

Any opinions on demotix.com are welcome.

Not bad, nothing earth shattering but good on you for getting out there amongst it all instead of what others might advise.

Did you get paid for them, or were you donating the pics? I now notice their watermark is all over them so I'd expect it was the former
