Thaksin Admits He Bought Votes For 500 Baht

Featured Replies

Anybody seen the video on YouTube of what looks to be a live Red Shirt broadcast where Thaksin accidently admits that he pays 500 baht for whoever votes for him and then looks uncomfortable after he realises what he's just said?

Update:

Ok looks like he's refering to paying for protestors but one thing is not mistakable is that he looks like he regrets what he's just said after he said it.

He seems to be saying that the Democrats pay 500 baht. I'm surprised that he doesn't mention that most of the notes were fake ones! :o

1. This has been discussed many times in many threads already

2. He is discussing the Thai social security scheme for seniors which requires seniors wait in long lines for a paltry 500 Baht. He says if he was leader the economy would be so strong they wouldn't need to do such things. It has nothing to do with so called pay offs.

3. It's likely he does pay off his supporters but this video doesn't reveal that.

Correct.
