canuckamuck Posted April 21, 2009 Share Posted April 21, 2009 Nice colors, you get a sense that it is quite cold too. 2 problems though: There is a lot of wasted space behind the monk, it would have been netter if you had framed it so that there was open space in front of him instead. Glad you didn't get a full view of the face as you did in your other recent submission of grandfather and old woman making sticky rice. Thanks for posting. yumidesign Posted April 25, 2009 Share Posted April 25, 2009 this is a good photo the 'gooey' light suits the scene and helps evoke the pensive attitude of the Monk BUT you seem to have trouble with framing. from memory you have a zoom on your camera,,,, try to allow more space around the subject and then crop at a latter date on your computer when you have a bigger image to work with. Also try to use the view finder not the led screen to compose your pictures this will confine you eye to the task and eliminate distractions this crop helps but its a still a bit tight at the bottom of the frame Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
