I am looking to start learning Thai with my partner twice per week (evenings) at home. Beginners thai, writing, speaking and reading. Has anyone recently had a good tutor that they could recommend?

I would prefer it to be from a professional source possibly a school so its properly structured and not just 'off the cuff teaching'.

I have been quoted 12,000 baht each for 30 hours of lessons? Is this steep or the going rate?

Much appreciated :o

Hi Sarah,

Yes, that's about the correct rate but you can always haggle - it is the Thai way after all.

When in Bangkok I learned through Jentana & associates who I was referred to also. Learn at their offices or a teacher will be appointed to visit you, I had my lessons at my office in Soi 18.

Google them or PM me for their details.
