are there any regular Expat meetings (social) where a NEWBIE can find help or share experiences on BKK life ? or any publication where those are listed ? I live not at a Farang area (i wanted it to be like that) , so its even hard for me to get a bangkok Post every day....

Depending on where you are, this place is as good a start as any, starting a thred inviting any members out for a drink usually works, the last BKK meet was a top night. ps anyone fancy a pint?

Hopefully my next visit will be around the end of Feb and /or into March and I always try and do the rounds for old time sake.

Last couple of trips I have found that I seem to be frequenting more of the new gin joints..eg.Gullivers,Black Swan,Robin Hood,Dubliner,Londoner etc.although still manage to get into the oldies aka Dogs <deleted>,Toby J,Offshore,Denny C et all.

The Riffifi has gone but I might be persuaded to try for a 30bt chang in the new pole huggers emporium.
