Oz Tourist Visa Before Spouse Visa Application

Featured Replies

I have a legally registered marriage in Thailand with Thai wife and we also have

a 4 year old daughter.

What would be the chances of a tourist visa to OZ before spouse visa application.

Any information appreciated.

NB :)

Not really sure what you are asking here. Do you mean you plan to apply for (and use) the tourist visa prior to lodging the application for the spouse visa back in Thailand? Or what exactly?

Just addressing the tourist visa application question ... of course your chances - as always - depends on the paperwork you lodge (how well you complete it + the nature of your personal situation) and the pencil-pusher who considers your application. Don't assume that because you are married it will be a push-over - make an effort to complete the forms (and provide all supporting proof/paperwork) as well as you possibly can, and this will both improve your chances and expedite the process.
