Dr. Burrito
Just curious what you lot find to be the best method for finding qualified locals. Newspapers (Thai or English), Internet or referrals? We've been trying to get a new receptionists/office manager type and have yet to have a whole lot of luck. Then again, I've left the options to my Thai staff to this point as well, which may explain the lack of progress. Any thoughts, experiences? pedro01
Advertise in the Nation/Bangkok post gets some responses - not as much as it did say 3 or 4 years ago, though. Jobsdb is pretty good - you can advertise & search their resume database.
ThaiPauly
I got ten times the response from the Post than the Nation when advertising for a wide variety of staff. Push them for a deal or a free ad as well!!

AsiaWolfie
what is jobsdb ???? an online system ? is it in english too ? what is its website URL ?
chanchao
jobsdb.com :-) I like it a lot, too. Obviously most suited for more senior staff, not if you want a maid or a driver. And BKKPost or Nation is likely over-kill for all but the most senior/qualified of staff. Local Thai language dailies seem more appropriate for most positions as everybody reads them. Finally, like for sourcing or selling just about anything else in Thailand, don't discount word of mouth. astral
Maids and drivers are generally best found by local recommendation. Talk to your Thai landlord and his wife.
