How Do Special Branch Police Earn There Tea Money?

i have seen a few special branch police guard embassy's ect, and all they do is stand there all day,

so ,

how do they earn there tea money ?

They don't.

They are upstanding people whom want nothing more than to serve and to protect, to the benefit of the community and the country as a whole. They would scoff at the idea of a bribe.

dunno about other sections, but when it comes to citizenship applications, they are the bouncers for the interior ministry approval process.

They don't send anything on unless they agree you tick all the boxes, and I'm guessing they could make the process incredibily 'difficult' lets say, given that there are alot of people who would give an arm and a leg for a Thai passport.

But, they aren't. They are friendly, courteous, and helpful. And don't ask for a cent.
