i've run my home office from my home for years and probably many do work from their home in the internet age.i'm not sure about having a true office only in a residential condo unit is legal but the condo board or local authorities may not like it.

A foreigner can only buy a residential condo. ( That is not to say that you couldn't do some work from it )
