Help...

Hi people,

As some of you know, I've had some serious medical problems over the past few months. I've had spinal surgery in January which was followed by some severe inflammation of the nerve roots, causing excruciating pain in my right leg.

Because of that, I lost my job and haven't been able to find a new one yet. I can't even look for work anymore, as I only have 300THB left... I will get 3500THB next Thursday from a website I own (Google AdSense revenue), but that's one week from now.

I can't afford my medication anymore, I feel awful and completely lost. As I have no family back home, I have noone to turn to.

So, if anyone here is willing to help me, feel free to send me a PM... Advice, loan, food... Anything would be good...

Thank you

What about your Embassy -try to get back to Europe ?

Yes I agree, your Embassy will help you for sure - if things are so bad for you, maybe you would be better off in your home Country, and if your illness is very bad you might even be able to claim Benefits until you are fit again to look for work.

I wish you the best of luck and hope you get sorted out.

I contacted them... all they can do is put me on a flight back to Belgium, period.

When I arrive there, I will have nothing.. no home, no money, etc..

You will have more support from Social Services in Europe than you will get here - So I think you have to make the decision to go back to Europe .

Yeh embassies give emergency loans in life-threatening situations... and at the very least a phonecall to someone back home.

How are you paying your rent if you have no money?

Yeah, the only loan they give is the money for the plane ticket... and there is no one to call back home, so...

Some friend from Belgium sent me 10000THB last month... with that money, i was able to get a cheap 3000THB room and pay the two months deposit.

I am from Belgium.

As I mentioned before in this post;

our embassy, at your request, can organize social assistance waiting for you at your arrival in Zaventem.

Well like previously said by someone else, I strongly think that you will get more help back in Belgium than in Thailand - Just take a look around, at some of the poor Thai people living on the Streets, and of course the very sick people, there is limited help available for them and its there Country, let alone a foreigner from Belgium.

Go home Nicholas, get the help you need to get you back on your feet, and then come back when you are well again.

I dont want to live in a shelter, as you posted..

Agreed you can plan to come back again once you are well and sorted .

What kind of VISA are you here on?

That's terrible news nicolas. I seem to recall you trying to sell some of your medication before. Did you have any luck with that?

A Shelter is better than the Pavement surely... and may not be for long if you get better quickly.

Nobody wants!

But here in Bangkok, at the end of the road, you will not even have a shelter.

You said that in Belgium you do not have anything... But, what do you have over here?

Regarding your medical conditions maybe you will be directly hospitalized, on arrival.

Spend the summer over there, I don't know from where you are from, but Brussels is nice and busy at this time of the year.

Apparently, you still have some friends who are able to send you a bit of money;

I am sure that they are worried about your condition and that they would prefer to see you back home.

Good luck and fell free to PM (but not before you made up your mind!) if you want any direct contact with our consulate

So, you would like to live out of the pocket of others as you do already (you stated the THB 10,000 fro, a FRIEND?) but din't wont to go the only possible way?!

How much of your "story" is true: IF?! Who knows!

Nobody in Belgium to help you but was getting THB 10,000 from a friend?! So some lie around here! How much more?!

A sad story if true and even sad if it's a lie!

The answer to your question are above. As Belgium Citizen you've to go back to YOUR Country to get the help you need and your Country is offering just that which you need to accept. Period!

As your questions are answered already and scamming in any way isn't allowed on Thaivisa, this thread is closed.
