Type O Renewal - Advice Requested

Featured Replies

Hi , I am married, and have a Type O from the UK that has expired, but I still have another 30 days of stay, because I exited and re-entered. I had planed to return to the UK, but now would prefer not too.

Can I get a one year multiple type O close to Thailand, say like Penang Malaysia or somewhere else?

Or can I only get one entry?

Can I apply for one year Marriage Visa with one entry (3months) Type O. ( have the 4K in the bank for 2 months already)

Any recommendations for Visa Run companies that do a good no fuss package?

Any other suggestions welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

You can get a multiple entry non-o in Penang or Kl if you are married to a Thai.

You can get an extension of stay if you have 400K (4K typo ?) in the bank for 2 months.

If you are on a 30 day visa exempt entry and have more than 21 days left on your entry you could do a change of visa status (2000 baht) and not have to get another non-o. After the change you pay 1900 baht for the extension.

Or get a 60 day extension (1900 baht) at immigration to visit your wife and then do the change of visa status within the last 30 days of your permit to stay.

Another option is to make a visa run to Vientiane and get a single entry non-o and do your extenion within the last 30 days of that entry,

Do you have 4K in the bank or 40K? You need 40K in the bank, or an income of 40,000 a month.

Actually it is 400k in the bank.

Thanks Lop, seems I made a typo in corecting a typo. Silly me.
