Tesco Lotus, Big C, Seven Eleven and local stores offer this magic power alcohol.

My Thai wife says that the white stuff (40 % alcohol) contains snake blood and the red stuff (28 % alcohol) contains tiger blood.

Is it true!

Very popular among Thais, they pick up a few bottles every time when I shopping my regular imported whiskey at the stores above.

Tigers are a protected species. Would Tesco sell bits of a protected species? (Not sure if blood counts, but a Tiger blood donor unit seems a bit far fetched)

Certainly no Tiger blood in that as a) it is illegal and the bottle would cost a few thousand Baht.

There is a "booze" for lack of a better term available in China that actually has a forest of herbs in the jug with snakes nailed to some bits of wood. But I highly doubt that is the case here and tiger is black market.

Snakes in alcohol are common here in Vietnam (and Geckos, Tokays, Greater Coucals, Bear paws,......). Most of them are farmed these days as there are so few left in the wild.

There are Tiger products available on the black market, but one would have to pay a fortune for any "medicines" with real Tiger ingredients (not to be confused with the widely, and legally, available Tiger beer).
