Visa On Arrival

Featured Replies

Hey there hopefully someone can help me out. Im taking the big leap soon and making my first trip to Thailand and Laos this summer for 9 weeks with a buddy! I havent applied for a visa yet, im leaving in just under 3 weeks but apparantly the visa takes 3 weeks to come in! Im Irish and living in Ireland by the way. Will I be able to get a visa upon arrival or is there anyway I can get an emergency one?

Any help appreciated, thanks in advance

Hi cork

You will get a 30 day visa exception stamp when you fly in to Thailand. If re/entering Thailand by land, it is then only for 15days. Without seeming to doubt you, I would make sure your embassy/consolate take that long to process an 'O' visa. In the UK, my friend just got one from Hull Consolate back within 4 days including postage times (both ways!!).

There is on such thing as an emergency visa.

It only takes days not weeks to get a visa. A 2 entry tourist visa is what you need.

Contact the consulate in Dublin. Reported to be freindly and helpfull.

Without a Visa you may not be allowed on the flight . So do as UJ said. Double entry Tourist Visa, assuming you are making one trip to Laos.

Get one while they're free :)
