I have talked to several people about getting this document and each gave me a different response. I plan on going to the Bkk Imm. office on Tuesday to apply for the certificate so has anyone gotten this document in the past week and if so exactly what paperwork do they require?

A month or so ago people reported you had to wait a week or weeks to obtain. Recently there were reports they would not longer issue anywhere and that you should use your Embassy option. If you go Tuesday please provide an update. Sorry that can not be more specific; but it probably explains why you are getting mixed responses.

Friday afternoon, the 15th, did my 90 day notification and applied for a Residence Certificate (Monday collection) from Pattaya immigration. In and out, 30 minutes, two separate operations.

What documentation did you need for the residence certificate?

What documentation did you need for the residence certificate?

1. Application Form for Residence Certificate in Thailand, download from immigration website

2. Passport photocopy with information page, visa, current permission to stay (extension), and departure card

3. Proof of address such as utility bill or rental (lease) agreement in your name

4. Two recent pictures, 4x6cm

5. 200 baht

I did this in February in Suan Plu Immigration. The room is upstairs (second floor), I think it was room 206, not to sure there, but ask when upstairs.

I just had the completed form and my passport. The officer wanted to see proof of address and all I had was my last 90 day report, which did the trick.

I paid 100 Baht for EMS, though when the letter came it had a 27 Baht stamp on it!.

The officer said it would take 3 weeks as everyone was busy, It did!.

My residence certificate was for Thai driving license and was essential as the licensing department up this way required one.

Yes you can use your embassy for quicker service but far more expensive so I thought I would give Suan Plu a go.
