Circuit Board Test And Repair

Featured Replies

Round the back of Panthip there are people who seem to fix mainboards - my guess is that some of them are pretty good (and others incompetent) - trouble who is which, and what is their level ie soldering or circuit board whizzes?

My problem: I have a Samsung 191T LCD monitor that got damaged by mains/UPS problem. Took it Samsung who isolated the main circuit board as the problem but could not replace/repair it as it is too old a model. I know how cheap it is to replace a LCD monitor these days but as it is one of several so I would hope to fix it if possible.

SO: My guess is that someone in Thailand exists who is skilled enough with the right equipment and could identify the damaged comonent(s) on the circuit board and replace them IF they are something standard like a capacitor - if it is a specific to 191T part that failed thats it, no fix. Need to know who this person is and where he/she is.

What I am hoping for is a recommndation of someone with circuit board test and repair skills so I can see if it can be fixed.

Would also be interested if anyone knows of a 191T for sale or knows which other monitors have an interchangeable main circuit board with 191T.

I think you have a better chance in the Ban Mo area. That's where the techies are, Pantip is just sales.

But: speak Thai! Ban Mo is not a tourist area so don't expect them to speak any other language than Thai.
