Thai Visa

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I have a question and hope there is someone who can explain me about this.

I would like to go to thailand for a few months and rent a house for some months but i read many different things about visa, visa runs visa entry`s.If its correct i must have a tourist visa from 60 days and i can get to myanmar or other neighbour country and come back i can extend for another 30 days.I have read somewhere you can do this 3 times so my total stay could be around 5 months. Is this correct??

Greetings Mike

If you get a 2 entry tourist visa you can get almost 6 months stay without getting a new visa.

You enter and get 60 days and then go to immigration here and extend for 30 days then do a border run to any of the bordering countries and use the 2nd entry repeating the 60 plus 30.

It appears you are from Holland so you should contact the consulate in Amsterdam to get this visa.

With no Visa and doing border runs to neighbouring countries you get 15 days and there is no limit to how many you can do.

As UJ said get a Visa.

Thanks for answering so quickly!!!

So I get 60 days visa (in holland)and go imigration in thailand after 59 days(where?)and get easy 30 days extra.then after 29 days i go to neighbour country 1 day(for example)and i can go back border thailand and i can use my visa 60 days again(they dont look i already stayed for 90 days??) and extend after 59 days for another 30 days.

If it is like this then its real easy to stay for about 6 months.

So difficulty`s start when you need work permit, start business or buy house, right?

By the way if you travel with 2 persons is it the same?

It is easy. You don't have to wait until the 59th day to do your 30 day extension. You should do it about a week early. The 30 days will be in addition to the 60 days you get whne you enter not from the day you go to immigration.

You can go to any immigration office in the country to get the extenstion.

You can leave and re-enter on the same day that your permit to stay from the extension ends.

The 90 days does not matter any more that rule has been abolished and it never applied to visa entries.

Yes it is easy to stay for 6 months. If you got a 3 entry you could stay for almost 9 months if you used your last entry just before your visa expires.

You can start a business, buy a house and apply for a work permit. You would have to leave and get a B visa to have the work permit issued.

You can do it wilth as many people as you want.
