Even my wife says, for something like a bar mat a Thai would not get more than a day or two's lock up then the matter would be finnished.

Jesus H Christ............. this is outrageous.

I take barmats all the time anywhere I go and that covers a lot of countries, i cannot imagine undercover Police actually charging her with a theft charge.

I was in a Bar in Tokyo and walked out with a Guinness promotional plastic glass that is a toothpick holder, pen holder, and also you can tip it up and the guinness magically disappears, I did ask the barman first though, and I was only one of two customers in the place. I think he was too shy to say no !

There must be more to this than a freekin' beermat !

Youve got to feel for those guys and girls working at the TAT, they've got their work cut out trying to promote this place.

The government better dip in for some more money to 'Advertise' Thailand as a holiday destination ... they'd better dig deep - This kind of coverage can't be bought cheaply.
