Spaniel Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 This morning I arrived at Immigration around 11:30 and proceded to room 206 to apply for the resident certificate. What they required was: 1. Passport 2. Completed application form 3. Copies of data page of your passport, 1 year visa, arrival card and the 90 day receipt of notification. No pictures and their was no charge although the lady asked for 100 bhat for the EMS return postage. Was told that it would take 2 to 3 weeks. I was the only customer and the processing took about 10 min. Another poster remarked that when he applied they also asked for B 100 for the postage and when he received it the postage was B 27 so I guess the balance was their "service charge". Anyway it beats making another trip to the Immigration office. Of course if you're in a hurry, and from the USA, you can get this same letter from the consulate immediately for $30.00. Also I noticed a sign on the door of room 206 that said they closed for lunch from 12:00 to 1:00.
