1 Day Overstay

Featured Replies

Hi

If i wait to tomorrow i will have 1 day overstay, if i go to the immigration today zero overstay but only 7 days extra, will it be in my passport if i have 1 day overstay, don’t want it in my passport, it’s a brand new passport, and can’t make a visa run before tomorrow

Thx a lot

I guess i should say that i just got the new passport so i think i have to check out on the old one and in on the new one??????

You have to have current stay stamp transferred into the new passport and check out using that - your old passport should not be valid if new one is a replacement. You need to go to immigration for that in any case and the only sure way to avoid stamp is not to overstay.

Hi

Thx is on my way

I had a one day the airport before and I never got a stamp.

Mind you, I had a good case and the Immigration officers were really good guys and had a laugh at my predicament at that time... :)

Your mileage may vary of course.

You get a 24 hour grace period at the airport. But they still put a little blue stamp written in Thai that says you had a 24 hour over stay. Even regular overstay stamps are in Thai and look like all the others you would have in a passport.

Hi

Thx, its done, got the stamp in the new passport and got 7 days extra, took 1 hour

Did not want any overstay in my new passport.

Good

Now you have plenty of time to make a border or visa run.
